The Grand Valley Public Library actively provides links between our community's information and recreational needs and a spectrum of resources.  Currently, the library provides community access to diverse collections, Internet computers, children’s programs and meeting space. This Web site provides a virtual branch allowing you to search the Library Catalogue and conduct research from the comfort of your home or office.

Patron Initiated ILO
This feature allows you to order Inter Library Loan materials from home or office.  Please contact the library to have your account activated for this action.
Net Library Resources
Netlibrary is an online database that is host to many e-books.  Print materials that have been digitized and can be viewed in book format online.  There are alson e-audio books available for use. Please contact the library to have your account activated.
Knowledge Ontario Information Database
Knowledge Onatrio is a very large database containing periodicals (magazines) newspaper, radio and telecast articles.  This data base is very current as it is updated twice daily.
Canadian Encyclopedia
The Canadian Encylcopedia is offered online only as it has not been available in print for many years.  This is a free service and does not need an account.
Our Ontario
Our Ontario offers use of government documents and other works.  You need an activated account to use this feature.  Please contact the library.

An online database that allows you access to many areas for research and reading.
GreenFile By EBSCO
EBSCO proudly offers GreenFILE, a freely accessible research database focusing on the relationship between human beings and the environment, with well-researched but accessible information on topics ranging from global warming to recycling to alternate fuel sources and beyond
Virtual Reference Library
The Virtual Reference Library works in partnership with library systems across Ontario to provide access to content and services specifically targeted to Ontarians of all ages, ethnic origin and from all parts of the province.

Encyclopedia.com gives you credible answers from published reference works – all in one place.  This is an American based encyclopedia.

JBJ offers a wide range of employment related programs, for both job seekers and local organizations.  JBJ Employment Services offers expertise in program design and delivery, aptitude and skills assessment.

You can find us on facebook and stay in tune with different goings on in the library.  You can view pictures of past program events and leave comments if you choose.  You do not need to have an account with Facebook to view this page.
Tumble Books
This is an excellent site for young readers who enjoy reading a story and having one read to them.  There are activities that are related to the story.  This is a free service of the Grand Valley Public Library and is available to everyone.  Check it out.

TumbleTalkingBooks: Your Online Audio Library - is an online audio book library collection for public libraries and schools. A subscription to TumbleTalkingBooks gives your patrons/students UNLIMITED  remote access to your audio book collection.
Tumble Readables FOR TEENS
Read along on line to your favorite stories. Geared for Kids and Teens.  These stories are in print and view like a book online.  Excellent for those who cannot get to the library to take out books. There are classics (1984) and Shakespear works available that will help with projects and reports.
