GRAND MARSH DISTRICT GIRL GUIDES

BROWNIES

Brownies (ages 7 and 8) For Fun and Adventure!

Brownies is a two-year program for 7 and 8 year-olds.   Girls meet on a weekly basis, usually for 1 ½ hours, in groups of about 18 to 24.

The Brownie program is an experience-based developmentally appropriate program for this age group, and above all fun for the girls.  It is based on the premise that girls learn best doing.  Brownies gives girls the opportunity to do things, be active, have fun and practice the concepts of friendship, co-operation and helping others.

Brownie camping and nature activities promote environmental stewardship and an understanding of the wonders of nature – and are loads of fund and adventure!
