The Corporation of the Township of East Luther Grand Valley is the result of an amalgamation that became effective January 1, 1995. The town is comprised of the former township of East Luther, a rural farming area, and the former Village of Grand Valley, an urban area supported by four surrounding rural townships. The township is truly nature's playground with the Luther Marsh and its Wildlife. The Marsh covers 13,000 acres with a 3,500 acre lake within it. The picturesque Grand River, recently designated as a Heritage River, flows from the northern boundary, serenely winding through the farm country and village. It provides the setting of beautiful scenery and peaceful existence.
The municipality is located on old Highway 25, about 100km northwest of Toronto, Ontario, between Highway 89 and old Highway 9.
