Residents from other surrounding municipalities who support library service through their taxes may borrow materials from the Grand Valley Public Library without charge.

Residents staying at Summer Place Trailer Park for the summer may also use the Grand Valley Public Library without charge.

Lost or Damaged Library Membership Cards

You are responsible for reporting lost or stolen membership cards and changes in address and phone number to library staff as soon as possible.

The initial membership card is free. There is a replacement fee of $5.00 for a lost or damaged membership card.

Loan Periods

The loan period for books, magazines, talking books, cd's and cassettes is three weeks. Videos and DVD's can be borrowed for one week.

Renewal of Library Material

Library material may b renewed at the circulation desk or by phoning the library during regular business hours. (519-928-5622)

Overdue Fines

Overdue fines are calculated as follows:
Adult Material:(16 years and over) 5 cents per day per item to a limit of $5.00
Children's Material:(15 years and under) 5 cents per day to a limit of $2.00

Reserves

Reserves may be placed on library material that is checked out or not found on the shelf by asking library staff to place your reserve Staff will call you when your reserve is in to be picked up. Titles with reserves cannot be renewed.
